Two weeks ago I shared a few misconceptions about Facebook marketing and now I want to tell you how you can better your marketing strategy without relying too much on Facebook.
- Post more on the websites you own If you’ve created a blog or website and own the domain, anything you create or post there will remain under your jurisdiction.
- Create and email list Just like with owning a website, you own the list of contacts. Maybe email isn’t as cutting-edge as social media, but giving consumers the option to receive news directly from you without a third party interfering can mean a world of difference in terms of relationship maintenance.
- SEO is still on your side Improving your website, blog and social media accounts’ SEO means your content will be seen more organically - and that’s free!
- Diversify your online presence As I mentioned last week, social networks like Twitter and Google+ have great features to let your followers see more of you more of the time. Don’t just stay stuck with your nose in the book, branch out to Pinterest, LinkedIn or even Yelp!
