You may think that what you post on Facebook is seen by all your friends and fans, but the truth is it is not! To prevent users from getting overwhelmed with posts from all of their friends and pages they've liked, Facebook has developed a way to sort posts based on what they feel the user would be most interested in. Edgerank, as it's called, will filter posts based on several social interactions and display only the most relevant in users' news feeds. The danger here is that if a user has low interaction with your brand's page, that user could stop seeing your posts in news feed altogether. Until recently we knew very little about the workings of Edgerank and how it decides what users "want" to see or not. Thanks to these smart infographics, you can now understand for yourself. Need ideas on how to combat Edgerank to remain seen by your fans? Give me a call to discuss!
